Overview

Andreas is member of the firm’s German private equity practice. He advises financial and private equity investors, as well as corporates and sponsor-backed clients, on their M&A deals, strategic investments and joint ventures. Andreas has specific experience in the healthcare, technology and infrastructure sector.

Andreas is member of the German Practice Innovation and Efficiency (PIE) team that generates ideas and promotes initiatives to undertake legal work more efficiently.

Andreas has advised on many major private equity deals. Those of significance where substantial involvement can be disclosed include advising:

  • Groupe Bruxelles Lambert: Advising on the acquisition of a majority stake in Canyon Bicycles.
  • Haniel: Advising on the acquisition of a majority stake in KMK Kinderzimmer.
  • thyssenkrupp: Advising on the sale of thyssenkrupp Elevator and Advent/Cinven.
  • Waterland Private Equity: Advising on the acquisition of the Rehacon Group, one of the leading companies for physiotherapy and physiotherapeutic services in Germany. 
  • Waterland Private Equity: Advising on the acquisition of the coeo Inkasso Group.
  • Montagu Private Equity: Advising on the acquisition of DAVASO Group, a leading provider of claims processing, auditing and billing services for statutory health insurers in Germany; subsequently advising on the acquisition of comline.
  • Brambles: Advising on the sale (dual track) of IFCO to Triton and AIDA.
  • Macquarie: Advising on the sale of Techem (meter reading service) to a consortium around the Swiss Partners Group.
  • Unilabs, a portfolio company of Apax: advising on the acquisition of Telemedicine Clinic Group.
  • Vyaire, a portfolio company of Apax: Advising on the acquisition of imtmedical Group and Acutronic Group (developer and manufacturer of medical respiratory equipment).
