Overview

Andres has extensive experience in syndicated bank loan transactions in connection with the financing of acquisitions and investments by private equity firms where he regularly advises leading financial institutions in their roles as lenders and arrangers. He also has experience in asset-based lending transactions, DIP and other restructuring transactions and cross-border asset acquisitions. Prior to joining Linklaters, Andres practiced at another international law firm in New York where he represented financing sources in numerous acquisition and cross-border financings.

Andres has advised clients on a wide range of complex U.S. and cross-border transactions, including, by example:

  • Credit Suisse AG, as lead arranger and administrative agent: advising in the multi-currency financing of KKR’s acquisition of MYOB Group Limited, a leading provider of online business management solutions in Australia and New Zealand.
  • JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs, as lead arrangers: advising in various multi-billion dollar term loan B financings for Altice USA.
  • JPMorgan and BNPP, as lead arrangers: advising in multi-billion multicurrency term loan B refinancings for Altice International.
  • MercadoLibre: advising in its financings with Goldman Sachs to expand its working capital portfolio in Mexico and Brazil.
  • BNPP, as lead arranger and administrative agent: advising in the term loan B and revolving financings for Sotheby’s.
  • Royal Bank of Canada, as lead arranger and administrative agent: advising in its term loan B financing for Material Handling Systems, Inc., a portfolio company of Thomas H. Lee Partners and which provides parcel sorting systems and shipping software controls.

Andres’ pro bono practice focuses on assisting non-profit organizations that educate health care providers on the chaotic legal landscape that was created by the Dobbs-decision.

Education and qualifications

Andres holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and he obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics and History at Boston University.

Andres is a member of the New York State Bar in the United States.
