Overview

Clémentine is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team in our Paris office. 

She specialises in civil and commercial dispute resolution, both domestic and cross-border. She advises clients on a wide range of contentious and transactional matters, before national courts and independent authorities such as the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF). Her main fields of focus include contractual disputes as well as complex corporate and financial litigation. 

Clémentine also did a six-month secondment in the Restructuring and Insolvency team of our Paris office, which advises all types of stakeholders (debtors, shareholders, creditors and investors). This enabled her to gain significant expertise in the French restructuring and insolvency arena.

Work highlights

Clémentine has acted for clients in many major disputes. Those that can be disclosed include:

  • advising an international media outlet in the context of proceedings brought before the Enforcement Committee of the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) for alleged market manipulation through dissemination of false information (2019-2020);
  • assisting a leading manufacturer of implants in the context of multiple claims for alleged defective hip and elbow implants (2020-2022);
  • advising a foreign mining company regarding risks of foreign bribery and counter-terrorism sanctions (2021);
  • advising a foreign company in the context of discovery proceedings involving many confidential documents covered by business secrecy before French commercial courts (2021-2022);
  • advising a major energy supplier in the context of a dispute brought by one of its industrial clients before the French commercial courts for alleged abusive termination of commercial relations (2022); 
  • assisting the shareholder of a debtor company in the context of conciliation proceedings opened in view of its refinancing (2022).
 

Professional experience

Prior to joining Linklaters as an associate in 2021, Clementine acquired a cumulative experience of more than two years in public institutions (public authorities, civil jurisdiction), private and public sector companies, as well as prestigious English and American law firms in Paris.

Education and qualifications

Clémentine is a member of the Paris Bar (2022). 

She graduated from University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master’s degree in Financial Law and three-year diploma from the Magistère de droit des activités économiques, 2018).

She also holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution from UCL Laws (2019).

Clémentine is fluent in French and English.
