Overview

Laura is a Managing Associate in our Belgian Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations practice. She was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2018.

Laura specialises in domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration. Her areas of expertise include commercial and real estate litigation, regulatory investigations, financial litigation and white-collar crime. Laura has also experience advising clients on technical financial regulatory matters.

She is a member of the CEPANI40 and the Women's White Collar Defense Association. She was also a teaching assistant in private international law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, thanks to which she holds a particular expertise to advise clients on cross-border aspects of civil and commercial litigations. She is the author of numerous articles in this field.

Work highlights

Laura has worked on a wide range of disputes. Those that can be disclosed include:

  • Representing several Belgian and French companies before Belgian courts in contractual and construction (multi-party) disputes, including assisting them during expert assessments
  • Assisting a leading Belgian company in ICC arbitration proceedings in the context of the performance of an EPC contract
  • Assisting a global financial institution in Belgian court proceedings regarding alleged breach of competition law 
  • Representing a multinational financial services corporation in court proceedings against retail merchants 

Professional experience

Laura has joined Linklaters in 2021 and has been promoted to Managing Associate in May 2023. Before joining Linklaters, she worked for another international law firm.

Education and qualifications

Laura holds a Master of Laws from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Laura also holds an additional master’s degree in management from the ICHEC Brussels Management School.

Laura works in French, English and Dutch.
