Overview

Stefano is an associate in our global competition practice, based in Brussels.

Stefano advises on all aspects of European and cross-jurisdictional competition law, including merger control, abuse of dominance, cartels and other anti-competitive agreements. His practice covers a range of business sectors, including the pharmaceutical and oil & gas industry. He has also developed extensive experience in EU remedy measures.

Work highlights

Highlights of Stefano’s recent experience include:

  • EU and worldwide antitrust notifications of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company’s acquisition of Shire plc for £46bn, the largest ever outbound M&A deal by a Japanese company
  • EU remedy implementation: divestiture of Takeda’s pipeline pharmaceutical drug SHP 647
  • Acquisition by the Italian oil company ENI S.p.A of 20% equity interest in ADNOC Refining
  • Divestiture of Takeda’s haemostatic business “TachoSil”

Professional experience

Stefano joined Linklaters in 2018. Prior to joining Linklaters, he interned at the European Commission in the antitrust unit for the pharma industry.

Education and qualifications

Stefano studied law at the University of Salerno, Italy. He holds an LLM in European legal studies from the College of Europe.
