Overview

Viktor is a managing associate at the Brussels office specialising in private and public M&A, corporate governance and corporate law, as well as financial regulatory law, on a local or international level. He advises (listed and non-listed) corporates, private equity firms and banks on complex domestic and cross-border deals.

Work highlights

Viktor has advised on a wide range of major corporate transactions. These include advising:

  • Proximus: advising on the acquisition of Route Mobile and the following mandatory takeover offer in India.
  • Seqens: advising on the disposal of PCAS Canada to DIC Corporation.
  • Shareholders of AB InBev: advising certain shareholders of the company on the merger with SAB Miller.
  • Integrale: advising on the restructuring and sale of its insurance portfolio to Monument Assurance Belgium.
  • Hotel Metropole: advising the shareholders on the sale of the company to an investment fund.
  • Belgian issuers: advising on initial public offerings on Euronext Brussels and on mandatory or voluntary takeover offers.
  • Orange: advising the independent members of the board of directors on governance procedures.

Professional experience

Viktor has written articles and papers on subjects on company law and financial law. He was a teaching assistant of civil and economic law at the University of Namur.

He is invited in universities and private organisations to present topics of corporate and economic law.

 

Education and qualifications

Viktor studied law at the University of Louvain (Magna Cum Laude) and holds a Master’s in Law (LL.M.) from the University of London (UCL). 

He also holds a MBA from the Vlerick Business School.
