Overview

Claudia advises national and international clients across several sectors on all aspects of corporate law, capital markets law and M&A. She has specialised experience in corporate reorganisations of groups and divisional organisations (also regarding large family-owned groups), including conversions into other legal forms, and regarding M&A transactions, both private and public, specialising on ESG related topics. 

Claudia served as a member of our global “Corporate Responsibility Committee” for several years and is a member of our global ESG practice.

Work highlights

Her recent representative matters include advising:

  • Nestlé: advising on some of its strategic transactions including on the acquisition of Bodymed AG and on the carve-out of the European frozen Pizza business and the creation of a JV between Nestlé and PAI Partners.
  • McKesson: advising on the agreement of a joint venture with the US pharmaceutical service provider Walgreens Boots Alliance
  • E.ON: advising on a number of strategic transactions such as on the restructuring of the group into two separate listed companies, including the change of Uniper’s legal form into an SE and its spin-off, on its sale of shares in Uniper SE to Fortum Oyj and on the acquisition of the shares in Innogy from RWE AG (including a public takeover offer) in connection with a comprehensive asset swap with RWE AG. 
  • Jakobus Stiftung (Aldi Nord): advising on the reorganization of the Aldi Nord group of companies, including the implementation of a new group and foundation structure.
  • Unifiedpost Group: advising on the strategic acquisition of a 100% stake in Crossinx.
  • Funke Mediengruppe: advising on the implementation of a new holding structure and on the comprehensive reorganisation of the existing group of approximately 450 companies into a divisional organisation under a uniform management company.

Professional experience

Claudia joined Linklaters in 2010 and was elected Partner in 2019. She spent significant time in our London office in 2015.

Education and qualifications

Claudia studied law at the Universities of Cologne, Trier and East London. She spent her legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne and at a New York based law firm and our AFIG practice in Dusseldorf.

She is admitted to the German bar.
