Jana has specialised experience in regulated markets such as healthcare, telecommunication and infrastructure. She advises clients across a broad range of sensitive regulatory and public law matters. She regularly advises on international transactions involving highly regulated targets and in connection with innovative business models in regulated industries.

Work highlights

Jana’s experience includes advising:

  • Vodafone on a strategic partnership with GIP and KKR for Vantage Towers and on a Fibre Optic Joint Venture with Altice;
  • Carlyle and PAI Partners on their acquisition of Theramex from CVC and other shareholders;
  • STADA Arzneimittel AG on the acquisition of a large portfolio of consumer health brands;
  • various healthcare companies on numerous approval, authorisation and compliance aspects, including medical device and pharma law as well as statutory health insurance law; and
  • various companies on operational agreements, particularly in the healthcare and digital infrastructure sectors.

Professional experience

After joining Linklaters in 2016 and her appointment as Counsel in 2017, Jana was elected Partner in 2023. Before joining Linklaters, she had worked for another magic circle law firm for several years.

Education and qualification

Jana studied law at the Technical University of Dresden and the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg. She holds a doctorate from the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. She also holds a Master of Law in Environmental, Planning and Regulatory Law from Nottingham Trent University and is a qualified administrative law specialist.
