Overview

Nicola has specialised experience in the structuring, formation and distribution investment funds as well as other investment products in the field of alternative investments, in particular real estate, private equity, infrastructure, private debt and renewable energy.

Moreover, she advises institutional investors with respect to their investments in investment funds.

Her focus is on the latest regulatory developments in the field of "Sustainable Finance", including the Disclosure and Taxonomy Regulations.

She is a member of the Linklaters ESG Working Group.

She was ranked among the “ones to watch” in the category real estate by the Best Lawyer 2022 Handelsblatt ranking.

Her experience includes advising: Allianz Global Investors, Aurelius Private Equity, CBRE Investment Management, Commerz Real, GARBE, Genesta, Hines, Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe Privatbank, KfW, Moonfare, MUFG, Niam, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Partech Partners, Affinius Capital (formerly USAA Real Estate) and various Swiss pension funds.

Nicola has previously worked as a research assistant at Leibniz University Hannover and joined Linklaters in 2018.

Education and qualifications

Nicola has finished her law studies at Leibniz University Hannover in 2009 with her First Legal State Examination. After her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court Celle and her Second Legal State Examination in 2012 she completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Stockholm University.
