Overview

Claudia advises national and international clients across several sectors on all aspects of corporate law, capital markets law and M&A. She has specialised experience in corporate reorganisations of groups and divisional organisations, including conversions into other legal forms, and regarding M&A transactions, both private and public. Furthermore, she regularly advises several leading national and international clients across several sectors on general legal advice in relation to issues of corporate and capital markets law, including the preparation of their annual general meeting. 

Claudia is ranked among the leading M&A lawyers in Germany by Wirtschaftswoche 2019 to 2021. Claudia is a member of our global “Corporate Responsibility Committee” and is highly involved in ESG related topics.

Work highlights

Her recent representative matters include advising:

  • E.ON on a number of strategic transactions such as on the acquisition of the shares in innogy from RWE AG (including a public takeover offer) in connection with a comprehensive asset swap with RWE AG, on the restructuring of the group into two separate listed companies, including the change of Uniper’s legal form into an SE and its spin-off and on its sale of shares in Uniper SE to Fortum Oyj
  • McKesson on the agreement of a joint venture with the US pharmaceutical service provider Walgreens Boots Alliance
  • Funke Mediengruppe on the implementation of a new holding structure and a restructuring of the whole group
  • MANN+HUMMEL on the acquisition of helsa Functional Coating
  • Nestlé Health Science on the acquisition of Bodymed AG
  • Kaneka Corporation Japan on its acquisition of Evonik Röhm GmbH’s plastic additives and plastisol business in Germany
  • KBC Lease Holding NV on the divestment of its German leasing business
  • Compaňia Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) on the merger of its container shipping division with German shipping company Hapag Lloyd

Professional experience

Claudia joined Linklaters in 2010 and was elected Partner in 2019. She was seconded to our London office in 2015.

Education and qualifications

Claudia studied law at the Universities of Cologne and Trier as well as the University of East London and worked as a trainee lawyer at a New York based law firm.

She speaks German and English.
