Overview

Becky has advised on a wide range of cross-border litigation and investigation matters during her career.

Becky’s current practice is particularly focussed on crisis management and investigations work and frequently advises on internal, regulatory and public investigations. She has advised on several investigations conducted by the FCA, SFO, ICAEW, FRC, Insolvency Service and both parliamentary and public inquiries. She has experience across a number of sectors including financial services, professional services, healthcare, telecommunications and retail.

Work highlights

Becky’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising Arcadia in relation to various inquiries including the joint Parliamentary select committee inquiries into the collapse of BHS and the settlement of the BHS pensions dispute with the Pensions Regulator
  • Advising on a number of ICAEW and FRC investigations in relation to a range of insolvency, accountancy and audit disputes
  • Advising a major UK-based pharmaceutical company in relation to product liability issues
  • Acting on the multi-jurisdictional investigation and enforcement action taken by the SFO and FCA in relation to allegations of FX manipulation at one of the major investment banks
  • Advising on large scale criminal investigations and proceedings brought by the Environment Agency

Professional experience

Becky has previously undertaken a secondment to Barclays Litigation, Investigations and Enforcement Team in London.

Becky is one of the members of our Graduate Recruitment Panel. Becky has also been involved in a number of pro-bono projects at Linklaters including working with Disability Law Service and the Mentoring Works scheme.

Education and qualifications

Becky has a LLB in Law from the University of Nottingham and completed her LPC at the University of Law in Moorgate, London.
