Rory has a broad commercial litigation practice, with a particular focus on contentious insolvency work.  He has acted for insolvency practitioners from most of the largest accountancy firms, including the administrators of the UK Lehman Brothers estates, the MG Rover group, Petroplus and the UK Enron group, as well as the liquidators of the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation and of the Saad group in Cayman. He has also acted for claimants against insolvent estates, most notably Deutsche Bank in the context of the Cayman liquidations of the SPhinX group of companies.

Rory has acted in a variety of finance and general commercial litigation and arbitration matters, as well as internal, FCA and SFO investigations for corporates and large financial institutions.  He has also acted on various bribery and corruption mandates, including advising Amec Foster Wheeler in the context of is high-profile investigation by the SFO, as well as other matters involving self-reporting to the English and Scottish authorities.
