Linklaters appoints new Global Practice Head for TMT/IP

Linklaters has announced the appointment of Julia Schönbohm, partner in the firm’s Frankfurt office, as its new global head of TMT/IP (Technology, Media and Telecommunications/Intellectual Property). Julia succeeds Richard Cumbley who has held the role for the past six years.

Julia joined Linklaters as a partner in 2014 and is widely acknowledged as a market leading intellectual property expert. Julia advises on both contentious and non-contentious matters, including the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Dual-qualified in Germany and New York, Julia specialises in cross-border patent infringement proceedings, coordinating complex multi-jurisdictional disputes. Instructed on projects across all aspects of technology, Julia has a deep knowledge of the life sciences, semiconductor, automotive, electronics and chemical industries.
