Linklaters announces Roger Cheng’s arrival in the Hong Kong SAR corporate practice
Linklaters today announced that Roger Cheng has joined as a partner in the firm’s Hong Kong SAR corporate practice.
Roger joins from the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) where he was Senior Director and the Head of the Takeovers Team. Prior to joining the SFC in 2018, he was a Corporate partner at Slaughter and May.
Roger has a strong profile in public M&A in a range of sectors and has extensive experience in equity capital markets transactions including IPOs and other equities work. Roger is a rare partner-level private practitioner who has a deep insight into the regulatory framework. The unique combination of work experience with the regulator as well as in global law firms has equipped Roger with expertise in transactional work and an intrinsic understanding of regulatory policy.
