Overview

Julia is an Associate in our global Antitrust & Foreign Investment practice and based in Dusseldorf. She specialises in German and European competition laws, including merger control as well as all other aspects of competition law. Also, Julia comprehensively advises on foreign investment control including proceedings under German foreign trade law. She represents clients before the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action as well as German and European Courts.

Professional experience

Julia joined Linklaters in 2023.

Prior, she worked as a research assistant in antitrust law for one of Germany’s leading law firms.

Education and qualifications

Julia studied Law at the Leibniz University of Hanover and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Commercial Law from the University of Glasgow. She completed her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court in Hamm with stages in international law firms and at the competition authority of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Climate Action and Energy).

She speaks German and English.
