Overview

Nicolette is a core member of the Tokyo structured finance and derivatives team, advising leading investment banks and trading houses on complex structured products and derivatives, securitisations, SPV-based structured finance transactions and related documentation.

Prior to joining Linklaters, her practice areas included corporate transactional, banking & financing, and life sciences-related intellectual property (contentious, transactional and advisory). She was an academic before becoming a lawyer. Her experience has helped her understand the needs of clients across cultures and industries and see complex ideas from a different perspective. 

Education and qualifications

Nicolette has a BSc(Hons) in Biotechnology, University of Hong Kong, a PhD in Molecular Biology (Cancer Therapeutics) from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, University of Cambridge, a Junior Research Fellowship and a Teaching Fellowship from Robinson College, University of Cambridge. She subsequently read law at University of Law, London.

Nicolette is qualified in both England & Wales and Hong Kong SAR.
