Linklaters announces enhanced parental leave policies

From 1 May 2021, any employee who is having a baby, whose partner is having a baby, who is adopting a child or becoming a parent through surrogacy will be offered enhanced paid leave. Primary caregivers will be entitled up to 26 weeks of paid leave and new parents (who are not the primary caregiver) will be entitled up to 4 weeks of paid leave. 
 
These policies are open to all staff in Asia and significantly increase the length of paid leave offered to most of the employees in the region in respect of the arrival of a new child. They demonstrate the firm’s desire to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported. They also reflect Linklaters’ commitment to continue to be LGBT+ inclusive and advance gender equality both in the workplace and at home.
