Linklaters ‘Excelling’ in City Mental Health Alliance Thriving at Work assessment

Linklaters has been awarded the ‘Excelling’ accreditation mark by the City Mental Health Alliance (‘CMHA’) in its Thriving at Work assessment for the second year in a row since its inception. The firm has received the highest-level accreditation mark that can be awarded which recognises best practice in developing mental health and wellbeing strategies.

The CMHA’s Thriving at Work assessment is designed to help organisations measure their progress as they work to build mentally healthy workplaces. It is based on evidence-based standards set out in the CMHA’s Thriving at Work Guide. This year, the Standards were updated to introduce the integration of mental health across the employee lifecycle, including through supplier engagement and a stronger focus on inclusion and diversity.

Charlie Jacobs, Senior Partner at Linklaters, comments:

“The pandemic has created an incredibly challenging environment for so many of our people and our communities and has emphasised the importance of maintaining an open dialogue about mental health in order to be able to support each other better.

As a founding member of the City Mental Health Alliance, we are very proud of this achievement and our culture of being open, positive and proactive about mental health. Linklaters is a people business and the physical and mental wellbeing of our people is of paramount importance.”

Poppy Jaman, CEO of the City Mental Health Alliance, says:
“This year the CMHA updated its assessment to provide a more ambitious set of actions for employers to innovate and lead the way in creating mentally healthy workplaces. Receiving the Excelling accreditation in the CMHA Thriving at Work assessment is a fantastic achievement.
Companies which are ‘Excelling’ are leading the way when it comes to integrating best practice approaches. As we continue to respond to the pandemic, this accreditation reflects all the work done that is protecting, supporting and creating positive mental health for your workforce.”
