Overview
Gavin specialises in regulatory investigations, working closely with colleagues in the firm’s Financial Regulation Group. He advises well known financial institutions, funds and corporates. He has extensive experience of managing multi-jurisdictional regulatory issues and investigations in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US.
He also advises clients on complex international commercial disputes, including disputes involving asset recovery, injunctions, contractual duties, mis-selling, enforcement of security, joint ventures, creditor and shareholder disputes and disciplinary matters.
Gavin spent six months on secondment in the Enforcement Division at the Financial Conduct Authority in 2019.
He was a managing director responsible for litigation and regulatory inquiries in Asia Pacific at UBS from 2006 to 2008.
