Overview

Iyesogie is a Managing Associate and has experience advising clients in relation to a broad range of environmental, social and governance matters. A key aspect of her work involves reviewing and analysing new regulatory developments and providing practical advice for clients on how to navigate their compliance obligations. Iyes also has extensive experience in supporting clients with the development of ESG strategies, including climate transition and decarbonisation plans. She has a wealth of experience in transactional matters, advising regularly on ESG aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public listings and project finance, as well as advising financial institutions on the application of, and compliance with, sustainable finance legislation. Iyesogie is experienced in dealing with anti-bribery and corruption and modern slavery matters in a transactional and advisory context and regularly advises on confidential risk and investigatory matters. 

Iyesogie is a regular contributor to our Sustainable Futures Blog and has written numerous think pieces for external publications, including for Infrastructure Investor. She recently took part in a climate workshop for the WildHearts Global Youth Summit during COP26, which was attended by over 27,000 students worldwide.

  • a multinational corporation on the EHS aspects of the sale of its USD 5bn acetone and acetyls business
  • multinational corporations and financial institutions on ESG disclosure and reporting obligations, including in relation to the EU Sustainable Finance Package, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and the UK Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting regime
  • a global food and beverage manufacturer on a wide range of environmental, climate and human rights issues both in respect of the group’s activities and supply chain matters
  • lenders and export credit agencies in relation to environmental and social matters on the approx. US$3bn holdco financing of the 605MW Greater Changhua 1 Offshore Wind Farm, the first holdco financing in Asian offshore wind
  • a large investment management company on its certification as a B Corporation
  • a range of multinational corporations on Modern Slavery Act and other non-financial reporting obligations and supply chain risk management

Education and qualifications

Iyesogie studied law at King’s College London.
