Overview

Jared Arcari represents sponsors and investors in a wide variety of private investment funds in asset classes including real estate, alternative investments, private credit, venture capital and private equity. Jared is experienced in both open-ended and close-ended funds and has assisted with various bespoke hybrid funds and other innovative fund structures. 

Jared advises sponsors in connection with matters relating to the formation, operation and governance of private investment funds. He also regularly advises clients on investor relation matters, post-closing matters and portfolio maintenance. In addition, Jared’s practice includes representing institutional investors in connection with investments in private equity funds and secondary transactions.

Jared also advises clients on various fund-related matters include managed accounts, funds of one, co-investments, joint ventures, secondary transactions and complex fund structures. 

Work Highlights
  • Assisted a sponsor’s launch of a $1.5 billion alternative real estate closed-end fund and advised on additional co-investment opportunities and investor matters.
  • Represented a major investment bank with the formation of a $2.5 billion leveraged credit fund.
  • Advised a client regarding the formation of a $1+ billion co-investment fund and a subsequent $2 billion joint venture with a strategic partner.
  • Represented a Fortune 50 company’s pension fund regarding investments in various close-end and open-ended private equity funds. 
  • Represented numerous private equity sponsors regarding investment fund strategies in specialized asset classes such as music studios, carbon credit, music intellectual property, cold storage and movie production financing.  
 

Professional experience

Jared previously worked as an investment funds associate at Goodwin Procter LLP and Paul Hastings LLP. 

Jared contributes regularly to publications on various topics ranging from securities law updates (particularly in the private funds space) to cryptocurrency and blockchain developments. 

Jared is also active in Fordham alumni matters and sits on several advisory councils focused on improving law students’ interest in legal topics such as tech and entrepreneurialism.

Education and qualifications

Jared holds a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. Jared obtained his undergraduate degree (Psychology and History) from New York University.
