Overview

Matilde is Managing Associate in the Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group of Linklaters Brussels. She regularly advises on several competition law areas, including merger control, foreign subsidies and antitrust topics. Matilde also has experience in appeals to the EU General Court focusing on EU law, State aid and competition law as well as in foreign direct investment reviews around the world. Her practice covers different industries, such as the infrastructure, consumer goods, energy and healthcare sectors, and clients, including funds.

Work highlights

Matilde’s recent experience includes advising:

  • Vodafone on its strategic co-control partnership with a consortium of long-term infrastructure investors led by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) and KKR for Vantage Towers, a leading tower company in Europe.
  • Vodafone on its network sharing agreements with Telecom Italia in Italy, including the combination of their respective tower infrastructure assets.
  • A sovereign wealth fund on its acquisition of a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
  • A major pension fund on several deals, including in the infrastructure sector.
  • Energizer on its acquisition of the global battery and portable lighting business of Spectrum Brands.

Matilde joined Linklaters as an Associate in 2018 and has been promoted to Managing Associate in 2023.

Education and qualifications

Matilde holds an LL.M. from King’s College London. She graduated at the University of Milan - Bicocca magna cum laude.

Matilde qualified in Italy and is also registered with the E List of the French Speaking Bar in Brussels (Ordre français des avocats du barreau de Bruxelles)
