Overview

Nicolas is a Partner in the Corporate/M&A practice of Linklaters Paris. He regularly advises financial sponsors, private equity houses, insurance companies and corporates on their M&A transactions, with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure sectors.

Work highlights

Recent transactions of significance where substantial involvement can be disclosed have included, advising:

  • Vauban Infrastructure Partners on its acquisition of a 20% stake in Paprec Group, the French recycling leader
  • Amundi Energy Vertes on its acquisition of a 49% stake within a 250MW Sonnedix solar assets portfolio and long-term solar investment partnership
  • Vauban Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition alongside MEAG of a 50% stake in the Indigo Group, the world leading car parking and individual mobility group from Ardian Infrastructure
  • AXA REIM on the acquisition of Data 4 group, the leading owner and operator of data centers in Europe, from funds managed by Colony Capital 
  • Ardian Infrastructure on the sale of a €1BN+ portfolio of infrastructure and energy assets across Europe, including participations in LISEA (rail), Synerail (telecoms), Alicorne (road) and Kallista Energy (wind), 2i Rete Gas, Trados Road etc
  • Temasek, the Singaporean investment company, in connection with its acquisition of a minority interest in the investment management company/asset manager, Tikehau Capital
  • AXA Private Equity (now Ardian), its senior management, employees and other investors in the spin-off of from the AXA Group to become Ardian

Professional experience

Nicolas joined the firm in 2009 as an Associate, has been promoted Managing Associate in 2014 and Counsel in 2019.

Nicolas spent eight months on secondment at Ardian in 2012 and seven months at Linklaters in London (Private Equity practice) in 2016.

Education and qualifications

Nicolas studied corporate law at the University of Paris-Nanterre and holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in M&A from Paris-Saclay University and a Master in Tax, Corporate Law and Business Management from Paris Inseec business school.

Nicolas speaks English and French.
