Overview

Leïla advises corporates, private equity firms and investment banks on domestic and international tax law, especially on the tax structuring of cross-border corporate, banking and capital markets transactions, including Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs) and joint ventures.

Leïla has also experience in structuring private equity funds in a range of jurisdictions, including France, Luxembourg and Jersey.

Work highlights

Recent transactions handled by Leïla include amongst others:

  • GBL on its acquisition of a majority stake in the Webhelp group, together with its co-founding shareholders and its management team;
  • L'Oréal SA on the EUR 1bn exclusive negotiations in connection with the sale of 100% of The Body Shop International Plc;
  • Ardian on the EUR 1bn fund raising of its sixth generation of early secondaries fund of funds;
  • Andera Partners on the EUR 445m fund raising of its fourth generation of midcap funds;
  • STOA on the acquisition of a 50% stake in a wind energy platform in India developed in a joint-venture with Engie;
  • BNP Paribas S.A. and BNP Paribas Personal Finance on the EUR 900m acquisition of Opel/Vauxhall’s captive financing activities;
  • RTL Group on a EUR 216m proposed internal re-organisation whereby Groupe M6 would acquire 100% ownership of RTL Group’s market-leading French radio family.

Professional experience

Leïla is a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of Linklaters and occasionally advises, on a pro-bono basis, the Fondation des Femmes.

Education and qualifications

Leïla holds a Master 2 in Corporate Tax from the University Paris Dauphine, a Law Degree from the University Panthéon Assas Paris II and MSc in Management from Bordeaux Business School.

She is admitted at the Paris Bar.

Leïla speaks French and English.
