Overview

Niketa is a Counsel in Linklaters’ Corporate Trust and Agency practice, which supports and works closely with the firm’s global Finance & Projects practice.

Niketa regularly advises:
  • corporate trustees, paying agents, account banks, calculation agents, custodians and cash managers on a range of capital markets transactions including, debt issuances, structured finance products, securitisations and repacks;
  • security agents and facility agents in relation to loan facilities including project financings and leveraged financing facilities;
  • on exercise of trustee powers, duties and discretions, transaction amendments, restructurings, potential and actual defaults and litigation; and
  • on liability management transactions (including tender offers, exchange offers and consent solicitations).

Professional experience

Prior to joining Linklaters, Niketa worked for Allen & Overy for over 8 years, where she spent time on a secondment to their Amsterdam office. She then worked as Associate General Counsel in HSBC for 8 years supporting the Corporate Trust and Loan Agency business.

Education and qualifications

Niketa studied LLB Law at the University College London.
