Overview

With over 20 years’ experience, Ulli advises on corporate and equity capital markets deals, including, on the corporate side, mergers and acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructurings and joint ventures and, in equity capital markets work, IPOs, rights issues, delistings, share buybacks and capital markets compliance. Much of Ulli’s expertise centres on cross-border transactions in Europe.

 

Work highlights
  • Deutsche Börse on its failed mergers with the London Stock Exchange and with NYSE Euronext
  • E.ON on the successful spin-off and listing of its conventional power generation arm, Uniper, on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
  • the investment banks on the successful spin-off and listing of METRO’s consumer and retail business
  • Actividades de Construcción y Servicios (ACS) on its hostile acquisition of Hochtief, a test case for German takeover law
  • Steinhoff, a leading manufacturer and retailer of furniture, on its listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
  • the underwriting investment banks on the IPO of GSW Immobilien, a private residential property company in Berlin, on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
  • the investment banks on Daimler’s €2.2bn disposal of its interest in the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (now the Airbus Group)

Education and qualifications

Ulli studied business economics and law and obtained a master’s in law from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt.
