To manage difficult conversations successfully, we need to do several things at once. We need to remember what we want to communicate, listen carefully to the other person and stay on track in the face of unexpected detours. Often the biggest challenge is keeping our own emotions in check.

In this session, we will explore what makes conversations “difficult” by seeing what happens to our brain in highly charged situations. We will also introduce some practical strategies, backed by scientific research, which will help you master the art of difficult conversations.
