Menopause in the Workplace

Women of menopausal age are the fastest growing demographic in the UK workforce. The effects of the menopause can be profound, severely impacting a woman’s ability to perform her role. Studies show that the majority of women consider that they have been negatively affected at work as a result of experiencing menopause transition symptoms. Yet the menopause remains an infrequently discussed topic and lack of communication and understanding creates legal exposure for employers.
