Financial Legislation – A New Belgian Omnibus Law

Belgian Parliament adopted a new "Omnibus" law that will enter into force on 19 July 2021. This law introduces changes to a large number of existing financial laws as well as some noteworthy novelties, including in relation to: (i) the governance of financial institutions, (ii) collective investment management, and (iii) the use of blockchain technology. Our Belgian financial regulation team has prepared an alert that analyses these three topics.
