SEC Settles Charges Against Gas Company for Failure to Disclose CEO Perks

On February 24, 2021, the SEC announced settled charges against an Oklahoma-based gas exploration and production company, Gulfport Energy Corporation, and its former CEO, Michael G. Moore, for failing to properly disclose around $650,000 in perks provided to Moore (including use of the company's airplane), as well as failing to disclose certain related person transactions (such as employing Moore's son's company for landscaping services).
