SEC Settles With Cheesecake Factory Over Misleading COVID-19 Disclosures

On December 4, 2020, the SEC announced that it had settled charges with The Cheesecake Factory for allegedly making misleading disclosures about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on its business operations and financial condition. This is the SEC's first action against public company for misleading investors about the financial effects of the pandemic.
