Specialist in insolvency and banking litigation. His practice covers contentious and advisory insolvency and restructuring, banking disputes and fraud and regulatory investigations. Particular experience of advising banks, financial institutions, companies and insolvency practitioners in relation to contentious issues arising from complex finance transactions as well as restructuring, insolvency and corporate distress situations, especially those with a cross-border element.

Recent and ongoing cases include advising the administrators of the Lehman Brothers companies in the UK, the administrators of Battersea Power Station and the administrators of Game and Petroplus, as well as advising on contentious and court-based aspects of numerous restructurings (such as Wind Hellas, Primacom and Cortefiel).  In recent years, Euan has also advised a major investment bank in proceedings in various jurisdictions arising out of the collapse of Parmalat and handled ongoing contentious and advisory issues arising from the insolvencies of the Enron Europe, Woolworths, Waterford Wedgwood, and MG Rover groups.

Euan is the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Partner for the London office, and has previously served as Graduate Recruitment Partner.
