Robert is a managing associate in our investment funds practice and has experience in private equity, venture capital and credit, assisting GPs and LPs in both transactional and advisory matters and with a particular focus on the democratisation of private funds. 

Work highlights:
  • DWS: advising on the establishment of a Europe-focused ESG infrastructure debt fund.
  • A number of sovereign wealth funds: advising on their strategic partnership and managed account relationships with private fund sponsors.
  • iCapital: advising on the establishment of iCapital’s European fintech platform and the structuring and launch of its various fund products, which focuses on providing broader access to the private funds market across a variety of asset classes.
  • Moonfare: advising on the creation of Moonfare’s Luxemburg-domiciled products which is focused on making top-tier funds available to retail and institutional investors at lower minimums.
  • SoftBank: advising as fund counsel on its market-leading approximately US$100bn SoftBank Vision Fund, the largest private equity or VC fund ever established.
