Overview

Thibaud is a Managing Associate within the Energy & Infrastructure department in the Paris office of Linklaters.

He was involved in several projects in the field of renewable energy (both onshore wind, offshore wind and solar plants), mining, telecoms, health, transport, as well as mergers in other regulated sectors. He was also involved in matters involving State aid and restructuring in sensitive sectors of State interest.

In 2021, Thibaud realised a 6-month secondment within the International Projects department of Eiffage Infrastructures.

His area of expertise is public law and foreign investment control.

Work highlights

Thibaud's experience includes:

  • advising on public law aspects (State aid, mining and environmental law) in relation to the financial support an economic operator of major importance;
  • advising a potential bidder in the potential sale of a portfolio of local telecommunications networks in low or medium density zones;
  • advising Eurowatt as producer of three onshore wind farms, in the conclusion of a corporate power purchase agreement for a global capacity of 80 GWh, concluded with DATA4;
  • advising on the world first limited-recourse financing of a pilot floating offshore wind farm in France Provence Grand Large;
  • advising on the financing of several offshore wind farm projects, including Saint-Nazaire and Fecamp;
  • advising on several merger projects with regards to foreign investment control regulation
