Linklaters advises on over US$600 million in banking transactions for three Peruvian companies

Deals include US$400m syndicated senior unsecured term loan facility for Volcan, US$185m refinancing and US$30m bilateral loan for two other Peruvian companies

Linklaters has advised on transactions totaling over US$600 million for three Peruvian companies with closings in December 2021.

Linklaters represented Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Banco Santander, S.A., as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners, and a syndicate of financial institutions in connection with Volcan Compañía Minera S.A.A.’s (Volcan) US$400 million senior unsecured term loan facility. Volcan will use the proceeds from the facility to refinance its outstanding 5.375% Senior Notes due 2022. Volcan is a diversified Peruvian mining company controlled by Glencore PLC. 

The firm also represented a Peruvian company in the refinancing of over 40 senior facility agreements for an aggregate of approximately US$185 million, and another Peruvian company in connection with a US$30 million bilateral loan with a New York financial institution as lender.
