Overview

Angel is a partner in the London Leveraged Finance practice. She represents financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on leveraged finance transactions across the capital structure.

Angel has a particular focus on cross-border acquisition and leveraged finance, regularly advising clients on their most strategic acquisition financings, recapitalisation and refinancing transactions.

She has in-depth knowledge and extensive experience over a variety of debt capital structures, including:

  • Syndicated loan financings
  • Private credit financings
  • High yield bond transactions (including bridge to bond and super senior revolving facilities)
  • Holdco financings
  • Post-IPO financings

Angel has been recognised as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 and as a Rising Star in Private Equity by Legal Week.

Work highlights

Angel has led on a wide range of financing transactions, including:

  • Astorg: advising on:
    • financings for various of its portfolio companies including Normec, LGC and Corden Pharma
    • financing aspects of its divestment of Anaqua (and the initial acquisition financing)
  • IK Partners: advising on various financings including its acquisition of Kersia (through an ESG-linked syndicated TLB) and Renta
  • Onex: advising on multiple competitive bids and financings including its acquisition of the Morson Group
  • Permira: advising on multiple competitive bids and financings including its acquisition of Exclusive Networks, Quotient Sciences and the Corin Group
  • Allegro (and Cinven, Permira, and MidEuropa): advising on its post-IPO debt facilities and the sponsor consortium on the initial acquisition financing
  • CVC: advising on the acquisition financing of Breitling and subsequent dividend recapitalisation
  • Exponent Private Equity: advising on the financing of its acquisition of Hippo Digital
  • Partners Group: advising on the financing for International Schools Partnership and of its acquisition of Schleich

Angel was a former member of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) Legal & Accounting Committee.

Education and qualifications

Angel holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales in Australia, where she also achieved a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction in Finance.
