Penelope Jensen & Clara Pang Named Top Women in Dealmaking by The Deal

Linklaters New York partners Penelope Jensen and Clara Pang were named to The Deal’s 2023 Top Women in Dealmaking list, in the areas of Restructuring and M&A, respectively. 

The list identifies women setting the bar for the next generation of attorneys. Penelope and Clara were selected for demonstrating the ability to navigate complex transactions over the past 12 months while maintaining strong client relationships, and leading in and out of the boardroom.

Penelope, a partner in Linklaters’ Restructuring & Insolvency practice, advises administrative agents, steering committees, individual lenders, other credit providers and companies facing bankruptcy and insolvency-related issues on complex credits of all sizes, with particular expertise in chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings. In the past year, Penelope advised a group of secured lenders in the multi-jurisdictional wind-down of Global Brands Group; Sercel Holding SAS as the successful bidder of the software business in the chapter 11 cases of Ion Geophysical Corporation; and Citibank, N.A. as administrative agent in the chapter 11 cases and related exit financings of Chisholm Oil and Gas Operating, LLC. Clara, a partner in Linklaters M&A practice, advises on complex cross-border and domestic transactions, including auctions, mergers, equity and asset sales, as well as on general corporate governance and securities matters. This past year, Clara advised Tate & Lyle on the $1.7 bn sale of a controlling interest in Primient to KPS Capital Partners; and a leading global investment firm on the business combination of the travel services arm of a global financial services firm with a SPAC backed by a global investment management firm.
