Linklaters has advised ams OSRAM on the sale of part of its sensor business to Infineon Technologies AG. The parties have entered into an agreement for a purchase price of 570 million euros on a debt-free and cash-free basis.
The divested business comprises a broad portfolio of non-optical analogue/mixed-signal sensors that are used in the automotive, industrial and medical sectors. The business is expected to generate revenues of around 230 million euros in calendar year 2026. As part of the transaction, around 230 employees will transfer to Infineon.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including merger control clearance, and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of calendar year 2026.
