Linklaters advised Itaú on the provision of a US$300 million financing to Fértil Pampa S.A.U., a subsidiary of Pampa Energía S.A.

The financing will fund the development of a project for the construction, operation, and management of a granular urea production complex in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. The estimated total investment for the project amounts to approximately US$2.7 billion and seeks to enhance the domestic fertilizer industry while creating downstream value from Argentina’s natural gas reserves.

The Linklaters team was led out of New York and São Paulo by Corporate Finance Partner Emilio Minvielle and Banking Partner Michael Bassett, alongside Associate Thomas Tiphaine-Koffman and Foreign Attorney Francisco Algorta Garicoits. Tax support on the deal was provided by Partner Gabriel Grossman and Associates Bernard Yi and Flavio Amorim.
