International Clerkships and Internships

Our two-week International Clerkship gives students in Africa, Australia and India the opportunity to experience life at Linklaters in London and gain first-hand insight into a career in commercial law.

You’ll experience living and working in London as part of one of our UK Summer Vacation Schemes, as well as interviewing for a Training Contract and the opportunity to join us full-time after graduation. The International Clerkship takes place each summer, with Linklaters supporting your visa and covering the cost of your flights and accommodation while you’re in London.

What does the Training Contract entail?

Over the two years of your Training Contract, you’ll rotate through four six-month seats, working on some of the most complex transactions for the world’s leading banks, corporates and financial sponsors.

You’ll be based in London, with the opportunity to broaden your perspective through an international or client secondment. In each seat, you’ll have a Principal to support your learning and development, alongside ongoing guidance from our Trainee Development team and training tailored to your practice area.

By the end of your Training Contract, you’ll have gained the breadth and depth of experience to make an informed decision about where you want to take your career.
