The Process

Submit your application

Apply for an Experienced Lawyer role through our online careers portal, either directly or through a recruitment agency. You’ll need to submit your CV as part of your application.

All applications must be made through the portal. If you have any questions about an Experienced Lawyer vacancy, please contact our Lateral Recruitment team rather than individual Partners or other colleagues at Linklaters.

Application review

Our Lateral Recruitment team will review your CV with the relevant practice group and let you know the outcome by email. If your application progresses, you may be invited to complete the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Test before moving on to the interview stage.

Interviews

Our interview process typically includes two Partner interviews, giving us the opportunity to explore your experience and expertise in more depth. One will usually be a technical interview involving a case study exercise.

You’ll also meet with a member of our Lateral Recruitment team, giving you another opportunity to ask questions, learn more about Linklaters and consider whether we’re the right fit for the next stage of your career.
