Linklaters recognized by LatinFinance for 2020 Deals of the Year Awards

Firm lauded for advising on Suzano’s “Corporate High-Grade Bond of the Year” and LD Celulose’s “Syndicated Loan of the Year”

Linklaters was recognized by LatinFinance at the 2020 Deals of the Year Awards for its role in two winning transactions:

Linklaters also advised Austrian cellulose fiber producer Lenzing AG and Brazilian wood panel manufacturer Duratex S.A. as sponsors, and their joint venture LD Celulose S.A. as borrower, in connection with the development and US$1.1 billion financing of one of the largest and most energy-efficient dissolving wood pulp plants in the world (and associated renewables/biofuels cogeneration power plant).

LatinFinance also awarded the LD Celulose deal Loan of the Year – Latin America and Infrastructure Financing of the Year – Brazil in September 2020 at its Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards.

The Linklaters team was led by partner Andrew Compton with support from partner Vanessa Havard-Williams, managing associate Aileen Buchanan, and associates Alex Weaver, Paulina Sosa and Enrico Gätsch.
