Overview

Devon is a managing associate in our investment funds practice in London and specialises in advising a range of investor clients on their investments across a range of asset classes including private equity, real estate, infrastructure and credit funds. She also has experience advising fund managers on fundraising across the real estate, infrastructure and credit asset classes.

Work highlights

Devon's experience includes advising:

  • A large sovereign wealth fund: advising on a number of large major funds, managed account and co-investment transactions across the private equity, venture capital, credit and infrastructure asset classes, including a number of strategic accounts and co-investments.
  • A number of sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and corporations: advising on their investments in a range of private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds, including participation in single asset co-investment vehicles and strategic accounts / co-investment platforms.
  • A large sovereign wealth fund and a Canadian pension fund: advising on their fund investments into CVC Capital Partners IX, CVC Capital Partners Asia VI and other CVC Capital Partners funds.
  • Macquarie Group: advising on the raising of a number of infrastructure debt funds across a range of strategies, including investment grade and sub-investment grade debt, UK inflation linked infrastructure debt and climate-focused infrastructure debt, as well as its first fund financing fund.
  • Aermont Capital: advising on the establishment of their fifth-generation opportunistic €3.78bn real estate fund.
  • Macquarie Group: advising on the transfer of a range of Irish, UK and Cayman investment funds from their Irish AIFM or Australian manager to their Luxembourg AIFM.

Professional experience

Devon spent four months on a client secondment at Macquarie Asset Management within the Private Credit legal team in 2023-2024. She also spent six months in 2021 supporting our Investment Funds office in Hong Kong, assisting our clients in Asia with both transactional and advisory matters.

Devon studied law at the University of Exeter.
