Overview

As an English law specialist in debt and equity capital markets transactions, Linda leads the Debt Capital Markets practice in the firm’s Milan office. She advises Italian issuers and international underwriters on a broad range of capital markets transactions, including IPOs, Medium Term Note (MTN) programmes, bond issues (secured and unsecured), block trades, exchangeable/convertible bonds, regulatory capital and liability management exercises.

Work highlights

Linda has counselled on a wide range of capital markets transactions. These include advising:

  • Telecom on its recent €1bn bonds issued under its €20bn MTN programme
  • BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, UBS Investment Bank, UniCredit and Goldman Sachs International as joint lead managers on the issue of subordinated notes by Assicurazioni Generali for a total maximum amount equal to €850m
  • UBS as placement agent on the issue of €120m senior secured notes issued by Intercos
  • the joint lead managers on €1.25bn of “green bonds” issued by ENEL Finance International
  • Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena on a proposed capital increase and a potential liability management exercise exchanging subordinated debt for equity (ultimately withdrawn)
  • the Italian regions of Campania, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardia, Marche and Puglia on a cash tender offer for notes previously issued by the regions equal to €5.6bn
  • J.P. Morgan as the dealers on the ENEL Finance International and ENEL update of their €35bn MTN programme

Professional experience

Linda sits on the committee of the Milan office’s corporate responsibility (CR) programme.

Education and qualifications

Linda studied law and French at Birmingham University, including an exchange year spent in University of Limoges.

She speaks English, Italian, Spanish and French.
