Overview
Nick has extensive experience advising financial institutions and borrowers on a broad range of cross-border financing transactions, including project finance, export credit finance, aircraft lease finance and sovereign finance, with a focus on renewable energy, oil and gas, telecom and other infrastructure sectors.
Nick obtained his JD from Harvard and is a member of the New York Bar. He has practiced in both the U.S. and Asia, where before joining Linklaters he worked as a project finance associate with Milbank and subsequently as a senior finance associate with Clifford Chance. He is fluent in Mandarin.
Experience highlights:
- Citi: advising in connection with a commodities intermediation financing involving a renewable diesel asset.
- Development bank: advising on a US$15bn oil-for-loan transaction in Africa.
- Development bank: advising on a US$10bn oil-for-loan transaction in Latin America.
- Mandated lead arrangers: advising in connection with a proposed financing for the construction, operation and maintenance of a Philippines-wide 4G/5G-ready telecommunication network.
- Goldman Sachs: advising on the bridge financing for a renewable energy project based in Southeast Asia.
- Canada-based private equity firm Cordiant Capital Inc.: advising on first-of-its-kind targeted private debt facility to Beijing Shuzhi.AI Co., Ltd. for the acquisition of telecoms infrastructure.
- China Development Bank: advising in connection with the US$2bn financing to the government of Pakistan for the construction and operation of the Thar Block-1 Integrated Mining-Power project.
- GN Power: advised sponsors on the development of three power projects in the Philippines.
