Overview

Simon is an Associate in the Antitrust and Foreign Investment Group in Brussels. 

Qualified in Belgium, Simon advises on all aspects of EU and Belgian competition law including merger control, abuse of dominance, cartel practices, FDI screening and antitrust compliance issues. He also advises clients on navigating foreign direct investment filings at the international level. Simon’s expertise further involves general European Union law, including the law of the internal market.

Simon assists clients from a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on consumer goods, automotive, agri-food and technology sectors.

Simon advises clients in English, French and Dutch. 

Professional experience

Simon is an Associate in the global Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group and has been a member of the Brussels Bar since October 2021. Prior to joining Linklaters, Simon completed a traineeship at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission.

Education and qualifications

Simon holds a master’s degree from Ghent University after obtaining his bachelor’s degree at Université Saint-Louis in Brussels. Simon has been a member of the Brussels Bar since October 2021.
