Sofian Heyne

As an associate in our Belgian corporate and finance group, Sofian draws on his extensive business background to provide comprehensive legal guidance to domestic and international companies and financial institutions.

Specialised in financial regulation, Sofian advises financial institutions on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters, including prudential and governance requirements, AML, conduct of business rules, and sector-specific legislation such as banking, lending, insurance, payment, investment funds, and post-trade infrastructure.

His combined expertise in corporate and financial law enables Sofian to deliver tailored legal advice, helping clients navigate complex challenges while achieving their business objectives.

Sofian joined the corporate and finance practice at Linklaters Belgium in 2023

Sofian holds a Bachelor in Law from the University of Liège and Master in Law combined with a Master in Management from the University of Liège and HEC Liège. He studied two year part-time at Maastricht University and a semester at HEC Montréal within the framework of the Erasmus Programme.
