Linklaters Advises TotalEnergies and SARIA on Grandpuits SAF Biorefinery Project Financing

Linklaters has advised the sponsors, TotalEnergies and SARIA, on the project financing by borrower TESSAF SAS for the construction of a biorefinery at Grandpuits, France, capable of producing 230 kt of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) per annum. The financing closed in February 2026.

The Grandpuits biorefinery forms a central part of the sponsors ongoing conversion of the Grandpuits refinery into a zero-crude platform. The project represents a significant milestone in the energy transition, supporting the decarbonisation of the aviation sector through the large-scale production of SAF.
