Linklaters Advises CODELCO on $1.25 Billion Note Issuances

Linklaters advised CODELCO on its offering of $1 billion 5.529% senior notes due 2037 and on the reopening of its 6.300% senior notes due 2053 for $250 million. The offering was conducted in the United States under Rule 144A and as an offshore offering in reliance on Regulation S.
CODELCO is the world’s largest copper producer and one of the largest companies in Chile in terms of revenue. CODELCO intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the notes for general corporate purposes.
The Linklaters team was led by Partners Matthew Poulter and Emilio Minvielle, alongside Associate Thomas Tiphaine Koffman and Foreign Attorney Francisco Algorta.
The team also included Tax support from Partner Gabriel Grossman and Senior Associate Erika Jensen in New York.
