Linklaters has advised Banco Santander, as sole lender on the senior co-lending facility for a €174m limited recourse project bond financing arranged by Eiffel Investment Group for the construction of the Wałcz wind farm, a 123.9 MW greenfield onshore wind project developed by RP Global in north-western Poland.
The project, which will feature 21 Nordex turbines, represents one of the largest debt transactions completed in recent years in Poland for a greenfield onshore wind development. Construction began in 2026 and full completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Developed by RP Global, a leading independent renewable energy company headquartered in Vienna, the Wałcz wind farm is the company’s sixth project in Poland, reflecting nearly two decades of operational experience since being active in the country from 2006.
The junior tranche of the co-lending facility was made available by private credit funds managed by Eiffel Investment Group.
The Linklaters cross-practice and cross-border team was led from Paris by Samuel Bordeleau, Partner, with Mylinh Pham, Managing Associate, Farah Guedouar and Kassim Mohamed Ali, Associates, in Energy & Infrastructure. Linklaters’ Madrid team was also involved, including Juan Barona, Partner, with Javier Hernandez, Counsel, and Angelo Salis, Managing Associate.
